By accessing or using NotiGenie ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and NotiGenie. Your continued use of the Service signifies your acceptance of any modifications to these Terms.

You represent that you are:

NotiGenie is a mobile application that provides:

• Natural language notification configuration
• AI-powered intent parsing and understanding
• Automated content aggregation from trusted sources
• AI-generated content summaries
• Scheduled push notification delivery
• Notification management and history

The Service uses artificial intelligence to:

• Interpret your natural language requests
• Fetch relevant content from various APIs and sources
• Generate concise, personalized summaries
• Deliver timely notifications based on your schedule

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time with or without notice.

Account Creation:

• You must create an account to use the Service
• Provide accurate and complete information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• You are responsible for all activities under your account

Account Security:

• Use a strong, unique password
• Do not share your account credentials
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
• We are not liable for losses due to unauthorized use

Account Termination:

• You may delete your account at any time
• We may suspend or terminate accounts for Terms violations
• Termination does not relieve payment obligations

Pro Subscription:

• Unlimited active notifications

Payment Terms:

• Subscriptions billed in advance
• Processed through your app store (Google Play/Apple App Store)
• Prices subject to change with notice
• Refunds handled per app store policies

Cancellation:

• Cancel anytime through app store settings
• Access continues until end of billing period
• No refunds for partial periods
• Reactivation subject to current pricing

You agree NOT to use the Service to:

Prohibited Activities:

• Violate any laws or regulations
• Infringe intellectual property rights
• Transmit harmful or malicious code
• Attempt unauthorized access to systems
• Interfere with Service operation
• Use automated systems (bots) without permission
• Impersonate others or misrepresent affiliation

Prohibited Content:

• Illegal, harmful, or offensive material
• Content promoting violence or discrimination
• Spam, phishing, or fraudulent content
• Content violating third-party rights
• Sexually explicit or inappropriate material

We reserve the right to:

• Remove prohibited content
• Suspend or terminate violating accounts

Our Content:

• The Service, including design, code, and features, is owned by NotiGenie
• Protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws
• You may not copy, modify, or reverse engineer the Service
• Our trademarks and logos may not be used without permission

Your Content:

• You retain ownership of queries and preferences you submit
• You grant us license to process your content to provide the Service
• This license ends when you delete content or your account

Third-Party Content:

• Summaries include content from third-party sources
• We do not claim ownership of underlying source material
• Source content subject to original publishers' rights
• We provide attribution and links where applicable

AI-Generated Content:

• Summaries are generated by AI and provided "as is"
• Not guaranteed to be error-free or comprehensive
• Should not be sole basis for important decisions
• Verify critical information from original sources

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

We Disclaim:

• Warranties of merchantability or fitness for purpose
• Guarantees of accuracy, completeness, or timeliness
• Warranties that Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
• Warranties that defects will be corrected

Content Accuracy:

• AI-generated summaries may contain errors or omissions
• Third-party content accuracy not guaranteed
• News and information may be outdated or incorrect
• Always verify important information from original sources

No Professional Advice:

• Service does not provide professional advice (financial, medical, legal)
• Do not rely on summaries for critical decisions
• Consult qualified professionals for important matters
• We are not responsible for decisions based on Service content

Technical Issues:

• Service may experience downtime or technical problems
• Notifications may be delayed or fail to deliver
• Data may be lost due to technical failures
• We strive for reliability but cannot guarantee it

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

We Are Not Liable For:

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Lost profits, data, or business opportunities
• Damages from Service use or inability to use
• Third-party content or actions
• Unauthorized access to your account
• Technical failures or service interruptions

Maximum Liability:

• Our total liability limited to amount paid by you in past 12 months
• Or $100 if you have not paid (free users)
• This applies regardless of cause of action
• Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations

Third-Party Services:

• Issues with payment processors, app stores, or APIs
• Availability or accuracy of third-party data sources
• Third-party privacy practices or security

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless NotiGenie, its officers, employees, and agents from:

This includes reasonable attorneys' fees and costs. We reserve the right to assume exclusive defense of any claim.

You have the right to delete your account and all associated data at any time. We provide two easy methods to request account deletion:

The fastest and easiest way to delete your account:

1. Open the NotiGenie app on your device
2. Navigate to your Profile or Settings section
3. Scroll down to find the "Delete Account" option
4. Tap on "Delete Account" and follow the on-screen confirmation prompts
5. Confirm your decision when prompted
6. Your account will be deleted immediately upon confirmation

⚠️ Important: This action is permanent and cannot be undone. Make sure you want to proceed before confirming.

If you're unable to access the app or prefer to request deletion via email:

How to Submit Your Request:

  • Your user ID (if known)
  • A clear statement that you want your account deleted

Processing Timeline:

• We will acknowledge receipt of your request within 2-3 business days

• You will receive a confirmation email once the deletion is completed

When you delete your account, the following data will be permanently removed:

Personal Information:

• Your email address
• Display name and profile information
• User ID and account credentials
• Account creation date and history

Notification Data:

• All notification configurations you created
• Notification history and interaction logs
• Natural language queries you submitted
• Topics, schedules, and frequency preferences

Device & Technical Data:

• Device information and settings
• Push notification tokens
• App usage data and analytics
• Error logs associated with your account

Understanding when your data is completely removed:

Immediate Deletion (Day 0):

• Your account is immediately deactivated
• You lose access to the app and all features
• Your account no longer appears in our active systems

Primary Deletion (Within 30 Days):

• All personal data permanently deleted from primary databases
• Account information removed from Firebase and cloud storage
• Active notification configurations deleted

Complete Deletion (Within 90 Days):

• Backup copies removed from all backup systems
• Data purged from all recovery and archive systems
• Complete removal from all NotiGenie systems

Retained Data:

• Anonymized analytics data (no personal identifiers) may be retained for statistical purposes
• Data required for legal compliance or ongoing legal matters
• Transaction records required for accounting (as mandated by law)

⚠️ Before You Delete Your Account:

📱 Subscription Management:

• Deleting your NotiGenie account does NOT automatically cancel your subscription
• Active subscriptions must be cancelled separately through your app store:
  • Google Play: Google Play Store → Subscriptions → NotiGenie → Cancel
  • Apple App Store: Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → NotiGenie → Cancel
• Cancel your subscription before deleting your account to avoid unwanted charges
• No refunds are provided for unused subscription time after account deletion

💳 Payment & Refunds:

• All outstanding payments remain due even after account deletion
• Partial period refunds are not available
• Refund requests should be made through your app store, not directly to NotiGenie
• App store refund policies apply

🔒 Data Security After Deletion:

• We follow secure data deletion protocols
• Data is overwritten and made unrecoverable
• Third-party services (Firebase, OpenAI) are notified to delete your data
• Backup systems are purged according to our retention schedule

If you're considering deleting your account, you might want to explore these alternatives first:

Temporary Break:

• Disable all notifications without deleting your account
• Your data and configurations will be preserved
• You can reactivate notifications anytime

Subscription Downgrade:

• Cancel your Pro subscription and switch to the free tier
• Keep 2 active notifications without any cost
• Maintain your account and history

Privacy Settings:

• Review and adjust your privacy settings
• Control what data is collected
• Manage notification permissions

Can I reactivate my account after deletion?

No. Account deletion is permanent. Once your account is deleted, all data is permanently removed and cannot be recovered. You would need to create a new account to use NotiGenie again.

How long does the deletion process take?

Your account is deactivated immediately. Complete data deletion from all systems takes up to 90 days, including removal from backup systems.

Will I get a refund for my subscription?

No refunds are provided for unused subscription time after account deletion. Make sure to cancel your subscription before deleting your account if you want to avoid future charges.

What happens to my notifications after deletion?

All active notifications stop immediately upon account deletion. Your notification history and configurations are permanently deleted.

Can I download my data before deletion?

Yes. You can request a copy of your data before deletion by contacting us at kryomlab@gmail.com. We will provide your data in a portable format within 30 days.

Do I need to delete the app after deleting my account?

No, but you may uninstall the app if you no longer wish to use it. Deleting your account removes your data from our servers, regardless of whether the app is installed.

What if I accidentally deleted my account?

Unfortunately, we cannot recover deleted accounts. The deletion process is designed to be permanent to protect your privacy. Please be certain before confirming account deletion.
